Responsibilities of Management/Enforcement/Dissemination of EEO Policies
Steven Johns, General Manager of Stillwater Radio, has overall responsibility of hiring and of enforcing all EEO policies and to continually review our employment unit’s performance and adherence to the Commission’s EEO rules.
All current employees have been advised of our stations’ EEO policies and have received a written copy of same. Future employees will be advised of our EEO policies during the interview process. Employees have been encouraged to advise their immediate supervisor of any complaints they may have of prejudice or discrimination in the workplace.
Analysis of EEO Recruitment Programs/ Effectiveness/Pay/Benefit/Promotion and Selection Techniques
Stillwater Radio, constantly analyzes its EEO Recruitment Program and to its effectiveness and outreach. Our pay and benefit plans are equitable for each appropriate position, and we attest that Stillwater Radio, does not discriminate in hiring or promotion on the basis of sex, age, race or nationality. Our policy is to afford the opportunity for employment to all qualified persons.

SUPPLEMENTAL OUTREACH INITIATIVES
February 1, 2009 – January 31, 2010

1st Initiative As part of our supplemental outreach initiative worked with local colleges (Oklahoma State University, Langston University) to post internship openings as available to introduce students to the industry as well as recruit potential future employees. Internships are offered in the fall, spring and summer semesters, a total of one (1) intern worked during this EEO reporting period.
Hannah Zettle interned March 30, 2009 – June 30, 2009, twelve (12) weeks, three (3) hours per week receiving hands on experience in sales and promotion of the radio stations. This was a paid intern position, where the intern receives commission on her sales.
2nd Initiative Hosted a job fair at Cimarron Hotel and Suites on March 19, 2009. Stillwater Radio along with 14 other businesses were present. Information about the industry and related information was made available by station manager who also answered questions of potential future employees and interns.
3rd Initiative Participated in a Career Fair, April 24, 2009 with other businesses in the region. Information about the broadcast industry was made available by station personnel who also answered questions regarding broadcast opportunities.
4th Initiative Participated in a “Women’s Night Out” Thursday, April 23, 2009 with other area businesses. Information about the broadcast industry was available for interested participants and station personnel were on-hand throughout this event to answer questions.
Activities to fulfill: In continuing with our supplemental outreach initiative, we are scheduled to participate February 11, 2010 “Hire OSU Grads Job Fair” at the Student Union on the Campus of Oklahoma State University, located in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Stillwater Broadcasting will also be working with Oklahoma State University broadcast and journalism departments, offering internships for the Summer 2010 and Fall 2010 Semesters.
Stillwater Radio will be hosting “Women’s Night Out” on Thursday, April 22, 2010 with various businesses in our region and will provide information regarding the broadcast industry to interested participants.

Casey Capehart (OSU) interned May 1, 2008-August 31, 2008, twelve (12) weeks, three (3) hours per week receiving hands-on experience in board operations, production and programming.
2nd Initiative Participated in a career fair March 13, 2008, held at the Payne County Expo Center, with other businesses in the region. Information about the industry and related information was made available by station personnel who also answered questions of potential future employees or interns.
3rd Initiative Participated in a “Women’s Night Out” Tuesday, April 22, 2008 held at the Payne County Expo Center, with other businesses in the region. Information about the broadcast industry was available for interested participants and station personnel were available throughout this event to answer questions.
4th Initiative Participated in a Career Fair, May 15, 2008 at the Best Western Expo Center with several area businesses within our region. Information about the broadcast industry was made available to attendees by Stillwater Station personnel who also answered questions regarding broadcast opportunities.

Stillwater Radio will also host a booth at that job fair and will provide information regarding the broadcasting industry to interested participants.
